Simmer (“we”, “the app”) is a recipe keeper for iPhone and iPad. We built it to keep your data yours.
Your recipes, photos, cookbooks, meal plans and shopping lists are stored on your device and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud account. We cannot see this content and never receive it.
Simmer does not require a sign-up and does not collect your name, email, or contacts.
Scanning recipes from photos happens entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework. Your photos are not uploaded.
Importing a recipe from a website fetches that public page and reads its recipe data. No information about you is sent along.
The free version of Simmer shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Subscribing to Simmer Premium removes ads.
Simmer Premium is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never receive your payment details.
Simmer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
